February 26, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Set in the context of Manipur, the play travels around a peaceful community disrupted by different impetus coming from various directions. In this tense situation, a person from a certain class emerges into power who manipulates the people by dividing them into groups. He foments further distrust and tension creating conflict from his craft. Already submitted to his power, the groups are made puppets dancing in his rhythm. The play shows the emergence of a new class in society and deals with the phenomenon where the oppressed becomes the oppressor and the pain inflicted by the process worsens the condition of the common people. The actors use their body as one of the major devices to express tense psycho-physical situation with a minimalist approach to sets and properties. It also gives lots of freedom to actors for improvisation and spontaneity and tries to understand the situation together as a group both instinctively and cognitively by discussion or practically moving in the space.
