About the Festival
A three-day theatre performance will be held from March 23 to 25 as part of the Nepal International Theatre Festival 2025 in Chitwan. The event aims to celebrate the region’s geographical, historical, and cultural diversity while bringing together local and international theatre artists.
Directed by Anjan Pradeep and coordinated by Dev Kumar Shrestha, the festival is organized in collaboration with Karmi Chautari, Taranga Natya Samuha, and Narayani Kalamandir, along with support from local sponsors.
The festival will feature international plays from five countries, with nearly 30 international artists performing. It will also include artistic interactions, exhibitions, poetry festivals, and cultural-musical events.
This platform is set to be a milestone for theatre and arts in Chitwan, fostering new opportunities and inspirations for the future.
Words from the Festival Director
For the first time, Chitwan dares to dream of an international theatre festival—one that belongs to all of us. When a shared dream becomes reality, history begins.
This festival connects Chitwan with global art. Let’s shape this dream together and proudly say, “This is possible in Chitwan.”
With gratitude, I thank Nepal International Theatre Festival 2025, Mandala Theatre, Narayani Kala Mandir, Taranga Theatre, and Sampoorna Kitab for making this possible.
