Cambodia

Cambodia's rich theatre tradition dates back to the classical era, when it was an integral part of the royal court. In the centuries that followed, theatre was used as a tool for political and social commentary, as well as a form of entertainment. Today, there are a number of professional and amateur theatre companies in Cambodia, producing a wide variety of plays. From traditional Khmer dance-dramas to contemporary works, Cambodian theatre is a vibrant and exciting art form.
