The Festival Director - Dayahang Rai
Dayahang Rai is a renowned actor and director in the film and theatre industry of Nepal. He has worked as an artist in dozens of plays like Sirumarani, Baaki Ujyalo, Court Martial, Cherry Orchard, etc. and directed dozens of other plays like Maila Dotcom, Degree Maila, Mitjyu, to name a few.
Apart from being an actor and a director, he is an equally talented writer who wrote plays like Duwali, Zero Zero Z, Kasilalko Thana, etc. He primarily gained popularity through the tele serial Yuwa, Dalan ra Hamro Team and gradually made his debut in the film industry from the movie “Anagarik”.
He started his journey as a theatre artist and later co-founded Mandala Theatre. He worked unrelentingly as the Documentation and Media Coordinator in the NITFest 2019 and as the Mentor/ PR Ambassador in the NITFest 2022.
Having him as the Festival Director in NITFest 2025 is a huge moment for us.
